BSD 310 Bar Code/Magnetic Card Reader interfaces with PCs and terminals,accepts a wide variety of input devices, and edits the incominginformation. It is compatible with Novell and other networks and can beused with multi-user systems like UNIX/Xenix, PC-MOS, and Concurrent DOS.BSD 310s can be daisy chained to form a network of BSD 310 readersconnected to a single serial port. With its advanced decoding algorithms,BSD 310's performance has proven superior to readers costing twice asmuch.BSD 310 has a Programmable Data Manipulation (PDM) feature so users canedit bar code, magnetic stripe, and other input data before it is passedto the application. The same reader offers a wide range of interfaces,allowing it to work with a variety of computers and terminals. Itsmultiple input features allow for a mix of bar code and magnetic cardinformation to enter programs from a single unit.
